    This is a hardcover book featuring the work of Archibald Thornburn from the Thornburn Museum and the Sotheby's Auction of London who was commissioned to sell the collection.
    Archibald Thornburn (1860 - 1935) Scotish artist specializing in wildlife, painting mostly in watercolor.
    His widely reproduced images of British wildlife, with their evocative and dramatic backgrounds, are enjoyed as much today as they were by naturalists a century ago.
    His father was a portrait miniaturist to Queen Victorian.
    The hardcover book and auction brochure from Sothebys dates the sale, March 31st 1993.
