The wrench was recently obtained from a sale, shows well cared for, age is unknown.
I believe this was a Military Contact wrench made by the Herbrand Drop Forged Tool Company, not marked with the ISN number
I believe this wrench was used as a part of the original Willys MB Ford GPW GP military Jeep tool kits, as the # 731A /
41-W-1012-5 wrench, and may have been used also for other military vehicles, as the WC, the CCKW and DUKW.
I believe also this wrench was used in general maintenance tool kits during the WWII era.
The wrench is stamped on one end

the other end has

The wrench is approx. 9 5/8" long.
The Wrench is in New Old Stock condition
