Description

Listed here is a REMANUFACTURED Mercruiser Upper Exhaust Pipe Assembly.  This is a Genuine OEM Mercruiser part NOT an aftermarket replacement.  The part number for this part is 42422A2 or 42422A 2 and lists for 7.25 new from dealer.  The number 42422-1 is also cast into the part itself.  By remanufactured I mean it has been stripped of old loose paint,  sanded,  primed with marine zinc phosphate primer,  painted with OEM Mercruiser Phantom Black Paint,  and clear coated with OEM Mercruiser Clear Coat.  Definitely shinier than new since they are not clear coated at the factory.  This is NOT a 5 star paint booth paint job.  Although done with OEM paint and clear with the proper process blemishes and irregularities can be seen through paint.  This is the part that connects the exhaust manifold on the engine to the lower exhaust collector pipe.  They were used on many of the 4 cylinder engines from the 1980s into the early 1990s depending on where your boat was on the assembly line.  This one came from a 1989 3.0 Mercruiser that spent its entire life on a fresh water Orlando chain of lakes and has never seen salt water.  The part you see pictured is the actual part you will receive with nothing extra.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I will help you to the best of my abilities.  Thank you for your interest.  Steve MMSLLC :)
